Furthermore, exercise improves the quality of life and due to the impact on mental health. Aerobic exercise increases levels of endorphins, hormones that promote feelings of happiness and energy, as well as levels of dopamine and serotonin, hormones that promote feelings of satisfaction. Also, the level of cortisol, or stress hormone, decreases, and research has shown that even short-term exercise has a positive effect on our mental health.
